Description

A solvent cutback rust preventative for protection of ferrous metals.

Application:

RUSTBLOCK DW is a solvent base corrosion preventative which leaves a medium soft flexible self healing film by solvent evaporation. RUSTBLOCK DW possesses strong dewatering properties which displaces moisture making it ideal for applying a protective coating to wet parts.

RUSTBLOCK DW is recommended for protection of machined and bright parts held in storage or awaiting further machining, it is particularly recommended where humidity and industrial pollution is high and corrosion and tarnishing is a problem

RUSTBLOCK DW is applied as received by brush, spray or dipping, drip feed and wiper. It is most effective for dewatering protection when applied by dipping. As the product is solvent based it should not be used near sources of ignition or at temperatures above ambient. If the product becomes thickened due to solvent evaporation this is quickly remedied by addition of neat solvent. The RUSTBLOCK DW film may be removed by use of solvent based degreasers or hot alkaline degreasers
